Writer, Avid Diver, and General Wanderer
When I was eight, my dad introduced me to Dungeons and Dragons. It was a watershed moment, not only because it’s a fantastic game, but because it gave me the language to articulate what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to be an adventurer.
Feel free to laugh. Even I have a hard time keeping a straight face when I describe myself that way. But that’s what I set out to be and I think I’ve done it reasonably well so far. I’ve lived on three continents and traveled to thirty countries. I’ve spent weeks alone in the woods and among friends on ships at sea. I’ve spend thousands of hours underwater all over the world and served in the Peace Corps. It hasn’t been a boring life at least.
This website is my attempt to explain some of the wonders and horrors that I’ve experienced. Not through the clinical lens of straight reporting. The world is far too magical of a place for that. I’ll tell my life story through the medium of fiction as it will be a truer, if less factual, account that way.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the tales of this untamed mind in a wild land.
